Inspiration
"Since I was fifteen years old, I have been captivated by the playing fields of the game of golf. Growing up surrounded by some of the greatest golf courses in the world, it was easy for me to fall under the spell. The names Winged Foot, Shinnecock Hills, Baltusrol, and Bethpage Black are not only great golf courses, but they (and many others) shaped my early ideals and philosophies about the Art of Golf Course Architecture."
"The golf courses of my earliest memories have two concepts in common: Simplicity in design and the inspiration of the land. These are the cornerstones of my thought process each time I put pencil to paper or develop a solution in the field."
Richard Mandell Golf Architecture has a strong commitment to golf course architecture and the primary task at hand, designing great golf courses. With close to two decades of golf design experience, it is evident that the four principles of our design success - tradition, enjoyment, character, and a passion for the game of golf have been imperative to our longevity in the business. A golf architect with longevity in mind will deliver proper design specifically for the client and the golfer.
