Jim Ryan, a 2016 graduate of Penn State University, brings a diverse background to his role as Design Associate for Richard Mandell Golf Architecture. From experience in golf tournament administration to golf course construction project management, Jim has had well-rounded exposure to the golf industry.
Prior to working for Richard Mandell Golf Architecture, Jim worked with Mottin Golf Course Renovations where, most notably, he oversaw a tee renovation project at Spring Lake Golf Club in Spring Lake, New Jersey. He was also involved with various renovation projects at New Canaan Country Club in New Canaan, Connecticut; Laurel Creek Country Club in Mt. Laurel, New Jersey; Beacon Hill Country Club in Atlantic Highlands, New Jersey and Bellewood Country Club in Pottstown, Pennsylvania.
Growing up in the Philadelphia Area afforded Jim the opportunity to both study and play some of the most architecturally-relevant golf courses in the world. He has been a student of golf course architecture for as long as he can remember, and he looks forward to bringing this knowledge to Richard Mandell Golf Architecture.
