Kennedy Golf Course | Denver, Colorado

Kennedy Golf Course is a 36 hole facility with 27 regulation holes and a 9 hole short course located within the city of Denver, Colorado. RMGA was brought in by the city to work on a renovation business plan to help outline steps moving forward for the golf course.

Hyannis Golf Course | Hyannis, Massachusetts

Hyannis Golf Course on Cape Cod, Massachusetts, engaged Richard Mandell Golf Architecture to put together a Renovation Business Plan that would transform the course the premier public golf option in Cape Cod.  RMGA started by updating infrastructure and utilizing additional land to improve the layout.  RMGA’s plan also focused on widening playing corridors, tree management, improving drainage and increasing overall feature visibility to showcase the rolling topography of the property.  

Methodist University Golf Course | Fayetteville, North Carolina

Host to the men’s and women’s golf teams of Methodist University and the 36 Division II and III national championships between them, Methodist University Golf Course looked to Richard Mandell Golf Architecture to create a cohesive strategy to update the course.  Having been built as a nine-hole course with nine additional holes added later, RMGA proposed a renovation that would infuse character and uniqueness that the course has previously lacked.

Feng Gang Golf Course | Ghuizhou Province, China

Looking to design 36-holes that highlighted mountainous terrain and preserved existing tea production, Feng Gang Golf Course in __, China, hired Richard Mandell Golf Architecture.  Richard Mandell relied on a golden age-inspired high point to high point routing philosophy to reduce the amount of earthwork needed.  The philosophy not only promotes the uniqueness of the specific property, but also allows for the land itself to define strategic decision making.

Tanglewood Park Reynolds Course | Clemmons, North Carolina

 

In the next phase of RMGA’s work at Tanglewood Park, Richard Mandell has provided a Renovation Business Plan to Forsyth County and will oversee the work that will update infrastructure and improve playability and strategic interest.  The plan is to provide additional value to local members and offer another quality option for the public to compliment the Championship Course.

West Manor | Lynchburg, Virginia

Developing a real estate community featuring a championship golf course, West Manor engaged Richard Mandell Golf Architecture for a master land plan.  RMGA not only routed the golf course, but also laid out the real estate lots to maximize property values.

Pine Forest Golf Club | Pinehurst, North Carolina

Pine Forest Golf Club in Pinehurst. North Carolina, was a golf and real estate development design.  Richard Mandell Golf Architecture designed the course to feature the old quarry located on the property while also maximizing property values.

Waterloo Golf Club | Cleveland, North Carolina

Waterloo Golf Club in Charlotte, North Carolina, is a future project with design based upon the legend of Napoleon Bonaparte’s First General, Michel Ney.  Supposedly executed at Waterloo, legend is he resurfaced as a schoolteacher named Peter Ney in the small hamlet of Cleveland, just north of Charlotte. In fostering this legend, the golf course will incorporate French Renaissance design principles in each golf course feature. Each hole will be designed after a landmark, historical event, or political and military philosophy of Napoleon’s reign as Dictator of France.
