Brian brings a wide range of experience in the design and construction fields to Richard Mandell Golf Architecture. This experience has allowed him to develop a deep understanding of the complexities that exist in the client/architect/contractor relationship and of the importance of teamwork to get a job done on time and under budget.
Brian began his professional career working on golf course renovation projects for TDI Golf at Dataw Island Club in Beaufort, South Carolina and then at Cowboys Golf Club in Grapevine, Texas. Later, he and his family relocated to Austin, Texas where he spent three years working as a landscape designer for Kelly Grossman Architects before branching out to start his own small business, Ross Landscape Design Build.
However, the opportunity to pursue his lifelong dream of being in the golf architecture business was too strong to resist so he and his family have returned to the east coast. A Virginia native, Brian is a 2012 graduate of the Virginia Tech Landscape Architecture program. He brings a passion for the marriage of golf and design and a strong attention to detail that will serve him well at Richard Mandell Golf Architecture.
