Design Innovation: The Legends Nine at Bacon Park - Hole #3

Hole #3: Par 4 (352-332-306-222)

Two large mounds on both sides of the green held over from the original eighties routing got the ball rolling (no pun intended) for this putting surface. The inspiration for this green (and most of the Legends nine greens) comes from the green surfaces at Royal Cinque Ports Golf Club in Kent, England (also known as Deal). Of particular note for this green is the twelfth green at Deal. The two mounds were bulked up and connected by a serpentine ridge across the green, creating two distinct portions of the putting surface.
